...

I used to work with this cute little chica, and so I was so flattered and thrilled when she asked if I would take her engagement pictures. It seemed like it took forever for the photoshoot to get here because I was so excited! And I really loved getting to know her fiance more and seeing how sweet their relationship is. She got a good one! And she deserves the best ;-)

This little family is so great... they were so fun to chat with and get to know. Not to mention photograph! They were up for anything so posing was an absolute dream. And their little girl just melted my heart. She gave me the biggest hug goodbye and I couldn't help but say, "Now I want a little girl!".

The look they were going for was 'outdoorsy', and by-golly, I think we got it ;-)

Ensemble Ideas

Here is another ensemble idea based on neutral colors with accents of red. You can actually make the accent color anything you want, but red looks fabulous on camera! And not to mention the lovely winter feel of it (GREAT for those family sessions coming up for holiday cards! ;-)

My favorite piece? The men's corduroy blazer. That, with the shirt untucked over jeans looks SO great.

Ensemble Ideas

A photog-friend (DMC Photography, super-dee-duper talented, you can see her work HERE) of mine does this on her blog and I thought it was a really fantastic idea.

If you find yourself struggling with outfits for our session or with colors that look good coordinated together, maybe this will help you get a kick-start! No one likes to look 'matchy-matchy', so these are just some ideas to help you with your creativity ;-)

So this first inspiration-ensemble is in the blue and yellow family. You obviously don't have to copy everything to a tee... in fact, the more creative you get the more 'you' the look becomes! Unless of course, this exact look is totally 'you' :-)

Anyway, not a scarf type of gal? Switch it out for a pretty, gold necklace. Not a dress-shoe kind of guy, well then, forget it. No, just kidding. Just wear whatever brown shoes you feel fits you best!

You get the idea...

Blues and Yellows

Hoping to have another ensemble idea up by the end of the week... so stay tuned! (and if you haven't already... click the 'follow' button on the right ---> so you can keep up with new posts!)

This photo session was SUCH a blast! I love it when fun, confident, sassy gals ask me to take pictures for them. You just know they are going to rock the whole thing, and of course... they sure did!

These two ladies are sisters and wanted to take some pictures to celebrate being single, recent college graduates, and I'm going to throw in being hot ;-)
What an awesome idea, right?

**thank you, ladies, for the fabulous time! I felt like I was hanging out with my girlfriends again! :-)

I have gotten so many questions about prints, wraps, books and everything in between that I just thought I'd settle it ALL here in one simple blog post... complete with sample images of course!

Let's start with prints:

Prints come in sizes ranging from wallets to 30x40 and come in 3 different finishes: glossy, lustre, and metallic. You can print as many images as you'd like and in as many sizes as you like. No minimum required ;-)

For decorative prints, images can be printed on float wraps (very sleek) that come with either 3/4 in or 1-1/2 in gaterboard blocks with holes ready for hanging:
Flush Mount

Or wrapped around a canvas (my personal favorite). They come ready-to-hang, with brackets in place. Straight from the box to your wall in seconds!

Canvases come in two different depths; 1-1/2 in and 2-1/2 in.

And they are stretched around a wood frame, with staples tucked around the back and out of sight. So fabulous.

AND there are eight different finishes to choose from to make sure you get the chic, gorgeous look you are hoping for.

And last, but certainly not least, all images can be printed and bound into a book OR album. You can use these for gifts, coffee table books, wedding guest books, or whatever you can dream up.

Let's do the books first:
Book

Books can either be printed with a custom cover, spine and back (shown above) or with one of 34 different fabric cover options:
Covers

And the best part, in my humble opinion, is the binding options. You can have either magazine-style where the pages lay in the classic book format or you can have them bound hinge-style where the pages lay completely flat, leaving the image undisturbed! Panoramic shots never looked so good :-) I don't feel this sample image does it justice... but you get the idea:

Now the albums come printed on thicker card stock and have a more 'album' feel to them (of course :-):
Albums

The images are printed with their backs glues together, giving the pages substance as you flip through. Also, the covers can come just like the books; with a custom image OR with any of the cover options. What makes the albums special, though, is you can choose to have the cover padded or just leave it in the book style.

And that's that! Orders can be placed through me at chrissy(at)photographybystudio85(dot)com. I will send you an order form with all prices and information. Allow 7 business days for processing and no more than 14 business days for shipment and delivery.

Before you know it, you will have your images ready for display!
